Zanjoe Marudo is indeed one of the most well-known and good-looking personalities in the Philippine showbiz industry. He captured the hearts of many, especially women when he played as a gumptious electrician in the IWant Digital series entitled "My Single Ladies".
Zanjoe started to get his fame when he starred as Natoy in the ABS-CBN's PrimeTime Bida series entitled "Tubig at Langis" where he worked with two beautiful actresses in the Philippines namely Christine Reyes and Isabelle Daza.
Just like his character in the said teleserye, many of you didn't know that the actor is a "Probinsyano" in real life.
Even though he often played the role of elegant and wealthy characters in his other films or series, the actor is still proud to be a "Probinsyano" because just like others, he is also know how to live a simple yet happy life in the province.
Zanjoe was born and grew up in Tanauan, Batangas where he gets used to living a simple life.
It can be remembered that in an interview with Zanjoe at Cinema One, he shares what he did in his youth when he was in the province.
Zanjoe recalled,
“Sa Manila, pagkatapos ng school, then pag weekend at summer nasa Batangas. Sa bukid nagtatanim, nagdadala ng food sa lolo at lola. Kapag tanghali kukuha ng buko, gano`n tapos sumasakay sa kalabaw at naglalaro sa initan.”
Despite having a successful career in the showbiz industry, Zanjoe still made sure that his income as an actor would go where he would benefit.
In an interview on Tito Boy's program on Tonight with Boy Abunda, Zanjoe shared that his resthouse will be finished where it is built on a small mango farm.
A few years have passed since the actor bought his mango farm that serves as the venue for their family reunion or as a resting place when on vacation.
In his Instagram post, it can be seen that the actor is not only visiting their province because he also goes to nearby provinces to visit and do what a provincial does.
In one of his IG posts, the actor can be seen trying farming, playing basketball on the street, and cooking Lechon. The photos also show the 34-year-old actor touring the province using his motorcycle.
