Joey De Leon apologizes for remark on depression
Veteran comedian Joey De Leon made a public apology on Eat Bulaga prior to the start of Juan for All, All for Juan segment on Friday, October 6.
This was in relation to his remark trivializing depression as "gawa-gawa lang iyan ng tao" during the same segment. Becaise of this, the host drew flak from netizens and his name trended on Twitter all day yesterday.
In his speech, De Leon admitted he made a mistake that stress and depression are just of the same level.
Nagkamali po ako.", said Joey.
He also shared that when he returned home, his wife Eileen, lectured and explained him that they have close relatives suffering from depression.
He also shared that he also called Maine Mendoza last night as it was her who took a stand from his remarks.
In the end, he left this quote,
